My beloved 486 DX2 is not working. Currently it does not recognize a hard drive to boot from, however it does identify the drive if booted from a disk. I have replaced the bios battery, however my computer knowledge is limited. Would reformatting the drive work??

Yea our radio shop pulled this trick with us by locking the radio. What we did was to create a password with another radio codeplug. I have had several problems programming the spectras using the 6.00 RSS. I filally resolved the issue by reinstalling the RSS from the original disks (not just copying the files right over) I am not sure if this helps, if you need and more information send me a PM.. =)
