MCS2000 Uses Diffrent CPS. I have no info an an MCS2000 USB cable from motorola. Maybe E-bay.
The Consolette uses the XTL programming cable with the spectra mike style connector, the round connector one will not fit.
Keys are loaded in the same location

We ran into this a bunch of times, just make sure your tuning is correct, we had some that flashed to block 17 then failed, but it put the new flash in. XTL5000 Consolettes program with the port on the radio not the head.
You have to open the console and its on the front of the radio above the 25 pin conections

We found that the 11.00.00 flash has many many many problems when it comes to trunking. 11.00.03 worked for us to fix allot of things. Just a thought.

XTL5000 W7 Remote to Dashmount??
I have an XTL5000 Remote mount with the old W7 head. I want to make it a dash mount.
I took it all apart and find i need a flex cable to attach the head to the radio as the one in it dosent work.
Anyone have any idea what i ned to order?

I use a Larson UHF & AS 800Mhz. Both work great. I have roof mounts in my other car and can't tell too much diffrence, Both systems are repeaters in town.

Played with one today. VHF we put some local repeaters in it and it did well. From the factory it was putting out 2.8 watts. RX was .19 not sure where they got .25 from. I'll keep playing and let everyone know if I find anything neat.

You can order the Q53 FPP option on any XTS2500 or 5000 you want. its fully FCC approved..The Q52 is the federal option for the same thing.

We have done over 200 head replacements and flashes to fix problems in the 05 head radios. Somone in boston is flashing 700 radios, not sure who.
We are flashing for the head problem, PL decode problem and the DPL narrow band problem. The flash we are now using is Firm 09.00.03 & DSP 09.00.02

I just orderd 21 Flashes for Host & DSP upgrade (they sent me 201 LOL) anyway i orderd 09.00.00 and got 09.00.01 so I guss this is the newest, i got it for XTS-1500/2500/5000 and XTL-1500/2500/5000 and have upgraded one of each so far and they work great, I did test text messageing and it works ...

Im just starting to play with the new things but havent got to much yet...
The neat thing i see is it allows for 4 remote heads for the XTL5000 daisy chaned together

I got a PM1500 4 weeks ago 100W UHF.
I just paid $540 and had it flashed for P25 and it works great.
I should have went with the High power XTS2500 UHF
Would have turned out to be around the same price LOL

I have one with 7 cap codes in it, problem i ran into was the cap codes had to have a numarical order to them for them to work next to each othe 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 etc. if you left a blank cap code between them it was OK no need to do the math 1 3 5 7 9 11 13 15. I did every other one so i would get page...

Hi I just got an Astro saber III 800mhz has smartzone in it ect. Anyway it came to me with a code plug in it, I want to get rid of it and make my own but it wont let me, it says i need a key.
