RLN6562A Strange Behavior
Guys, It's been a long time since I've been on the board, but I've got a real head-scratcher here. I bought a gently used RLN6562A from a fellow ham in the Midwest. The unit (when paired to my 7550e) will only TX for 5 seconds in digital, but performs flawlessly on analog. My 7550e is on the latest ...

Unusual sound from TRBO system
Guys, My employer runs what appears to be a 2 repeater/4 channel TRBO system at our distribution centers in Bethlehem, PA. I'm almost 100% certain that the system is NOT a Capacity Plus, due to the lack of a resting burst. However, the repeaters make the sound linked below for about 4 seconds every ...

Re: Changing APX7000 housing
The housing is a three-sided piece that's all one part. It's fairly straightforward to do (all you have to remove is the 6 screws on the main speaker side of the radio). You will have to spread the sides open a bit to get it around the chassis during the removal & installation process. This has ...

I'm inclined to agree with you on this, the more I think about it. On the APX, the only places you have to specify X2/Phase-II are in the main setup window of the system & the channel assignment table. There's no place in the talkgroup configuration setup specifying whether the TG is FDMA or TDMA.

Unless I missed something here, the trunking scan member limit increased.
My main scan list now covers the three systems in my county, has 59 TGID's assigned, and still let me throw in another 8 conventional channels (dispatch & fireground ops).
Needless to say, I'm impressed!

APX channel-per-zone since R06
Guys,
Initial reports on the APX family showed that you could have as many as 625 channels in a zone (with the old 'max' of 1250 total radio channels).
Did the memory reconfiguration to 2000 channels/125 zones that came with R06 change the max channels, or is that still 625?
