I have installed both and have no issues with wideband. The new APX CPS looks a little like TRBO CPS.

Sounds like the tuning parameters may have been wiped. Maybe time for a tuneup?
I had 2 XTL5000's in my CTS, trunk mounted with O3 heads in cockpit. Worked great and there was plenty of room.

I have been using the PMMN4025A on both my XPR7550 and APX7000 with no issues. Not sure what the difference is between the 4024 and 4025.

No issues with my HiCap on a 3.4 charger. Try forcing the charger into conditioning mode and see if that fixes the issue.

The 7550 can be picky. Most low end headsets work but very few of the higher end models work. I don't think /\/\ implemented the Bluetooth protocols correctly. The new Plantronics Voyager Legend works great. Loud and clear audio.

It's interesting to see that the RF port is hidden under what normally is covered with a piece of casing with the model XPR7550 imprinted on it. How does that come off?

Hey Gary many of us here in SFL use the Motorola NAE6547AR UHF Helical 435-470 stubby antenna. It clearly outperformed the stock UHF/GPS antenna and is much smaller.

I have that adapter. It plugs into the small hole on the backside of the radio underneath the battery. I think its primary use is as an aid when aligning the radio. The specs call for it to read SWR up to 200mhz. This device was made for non commercial use so its accuracy/quality is in question. I suggest trying a different meter.

Got mine on the 7th. Has anyone found a micro USB mobile charger that works? Non Motorola stuff gives an on screen error that the charger is not compatible. I ordered a couple of BT90's and a separate charger from Amazon.

CPS 17 no likey XTS4000.
Unrecoverable 01/82 errors. Went back to CPS 16.01 and was able to recover. Besides some obvious com issues, at one point it thought the XTS4000 was an M3 XTS2500. Not good karma at all.

Also under Radio Wide:User Information and Passwords: Make sure that the Radio Alias field is blank and that the Radio Alias Enable Box is unchecked.
I absolutely hate the scrolling top menu. Its much more useable when the display only shows the frequency or channel name.

I made a personality for all the analog channels in zone 7 and that makes the scan for zone 7 work properly.
I thought the one personality per channel setup was only an ASTRO25 FPP thing but I guess not.
