Disregard that, Pager Geek, you were correct. I thought I had double checked for that but apparently not! Works like new, thanks for all your help.

Hi, I am trying to program my SP50, the radio is fully functional and I have programmed this radio with the same computer, same programming cable, same RIB every time. However, this time, whenever I try to read the radio, I get the error #7 - "Invalid opcode" anybody know what this means? ...

Minitor III batteries, 1.22v to 1.25v?
Hello, my fire department has been looking for batteries for our minitor III's. We found a cheaper solution from Grainger, however the batteries are 1.22V and are Ni-MH, instead of the standard 1.25V Ni-CD. My question is, would this be OK? And would the chargers have any problems with them? Thanks,...

CDM1550 remote speaker & mic
Hello all, my question is, how would I go about creating an additional speaker & microphone for my cdm1550? We had this setup on our old vehicle with a maxtrac, but I never even got a chance to look at it & it is stripped now. Do I just need to purchase a regular mic and speaker? Or do I nee...

CDM1550 Remote Head question
Our fire dept. just acquired a new Ford Explorer for a new command vehicle. We are deciding on which radios to put in it, we all agreed we want to put in CDM1550's, I know, I know, there are people that hate em, but we already use them and they work fine. My question is, if I wanted to use the remot...

odd mts2000 problem
Got an odd problem here with my mts2000 uhf 450-512 type III. When I turn it on, it just stays in self test mode.....eternally. UNLESS, I press some buttons, almost like slapping somebody who is sleeping to get him up! So what is the deal here?
Thanks,
Mike

What radio trying to read? Is the RSS AA, AZ, or LA? That error code means you are using a foreign radio. For instance, if your software is AA, and you're trying to read a Pro9150, or Pro7150, Pro7100 etc. etc....it will not work, that is the error message you will get. On the flipside, iIf you are ...

Interesting mts2000 programming error
I am having a tough time reading my mts2000. When there is no cable connected, or it's connected, and the radio is off, when I goto read the radio, I get a TIMEOUT ERROR, accordingly. When everything is connected fine, I get an INTERPACKET VIOLATION ERROR. What's the story here?

MTS2000 programming
I have heard that the MTS2000's are very "fragile" radios in a firmware sense. I know this is broad, but when programming, is there certain things I should stray away from? I am using R6.05.00, the radio was previosuly programmed with 6.0. The only no-no I have heard so far is stay away fr...

MTS2000 Out of band?
I have been told that the mts2000 series can go out of band physically, but some have told me that actually getting the software to do it is another ball game. I will be receiving a 450-520 type III mts2000 in a few days, and already have the codeplug. I cannot get it to go below 450MHz, then again,...

Tone will not activate pagers.... (slightly OT)
Hello, this is not a serious problem. Our department multi-cast's it's tone out on 2 channels. The first is simplex, straight from headquarters. It activates the pagers with no problem (Minitor II, and III's) - the second channel also puts out the tone, but on a repeater. This is not large problem b...

I am trading for an MTS2000 uhf from a friend. He knows for a fact that it did do mdc1200 at one time. Certainly I would've expected the replacement to have the latest...

How do you get the flashcode out of radio (mts2000)
I was curious to how to retrieve the flashcode out of an MTS2000, the person I am buying from said he hit squelch a number of times after start-up & got 5.65, then after pushing the side button 4 times it says flshcd 000000-0 six zeros then a dash then one more zero. I doubt the code is all zero...

Hello. I am looking to acquire an MTS2000 in the near future. It will be either a Type II, or III UHF 450-512 model. It will also be flashed up to date.
