I figured that was the way it would work but my salesman said no, just the 5000 would do that.

VHF A9 Spectra with siren giving error code FL 08/10. Won't TX, RX is fine. Siren not working either.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I saw the error code list on the Spectra page. The clostest thing was FL 06/10. That was for a dual head radio (I think.)

I've used a few of these on GM-300's. If you don't change the handset option in the RSS it just functions like a normal palm mic. The scan stops when you pick it up and resumes when it's hung back up. I'm not sure why they wanted handsets to act like palm mics, but they work just fine.
