I believe there is no COR output on the Astro Spectra/Spectra radios. Search around there is a way of getting a semi COR output, I am thinking the audio switch to the audio PA might work. I used that line on a MX portable CC console to switch an external PA amp.

If the radio doesn't have it labeled on the outside by the serial number chances are the radio is analog only or VSLEP. When you get down to the board level they are the same CP&HT CM&CDM. With the right LAB you can make them anything you want. Our 25 watt CDM 1250 work fine with CM boards.

If I am not mistaken the number you are talking about has something to do with the temperature curve for the main reference oscillator. It really shouldn't effect a receive only radio unless you place radio in extreme temperatures.

With the Maxtrac you have to make a call list for it to be displayed otherwise it just displays 00. In other words you need to know the ID of the radio you want to decode first.

That's interesting I was planing on using a VHF Astro for my 225 watt Micor station to make it narrow band compliant. Inject 1/2 watt at 150 mhz and you get 225 watts out at 477 mhz.

You need Pro LAB, then using the method described here on Batlabs, you modify the "S" record for the radio Tanapa you have by using the de-compiler and compiler programs. It's pretty straightforward, I moved a 403-470 up to 482 where the VCO unlocked.

It's a bit overkill, but the radio does have P-25 analog, and 250 modes. I have seen radios with that good a flash going for $300-500. You are probably going to pay more for it due to all the other options like trunking.

Search for 220 mhz radio out of band post, there is a very well written article on how to do it. You will need a few small programs to convert a code-plug. I took my 403-470 HT-1250 up to 484 mhz ,that's when the VCO went out of lock.
