Re: "Plantation PQE" Label

On the ser# of a "M" radio looking at the 3 letters in the middle, if the 1st letter is "A" that radio was made in Plantation. "C" means Shaumberg. [Chicago] Over the years I knew lots of tech's & engineers who worked there, & their radios seemed to have regula...

Re: "Plantation PQE" Label

It is an XTS 5000, model H18KEH9PW7AN. Where there would usually be the black and green "FM approved" label, there is a small sticker (about 2/3's the size of the normal stickers) centered. It says "Plantation PQE" has a barcode in the center, and on the bottom has the M logo and...

Re: XTS2500 PTT button broken

Yes, it's the bezel I'm having trouble removing. However, I'm pretty sure I ordered the wrong parts. The buttons I received are oval-shaped while the side buttons on my radio are more square. Full model number of my radio is H46KDH9PW7BN. Any more ideas? Kevin, You have a BN series radio with means...

Re: HT1250 TURNING ON AND OFF ON ITS OWN.......?

might also be the battery contact gasket. I remeber everything after a certain color being made of a stronger material and some other details that are probably no relavent. FB I have had this problem frequently with older model HT 1250's. The issue was the battery getting lose and bouncing around a...

Re: offline flashcode decoder app for Android or iPhone?

Since there doesn't seem to be an offline app, is there a way to determine Q52/Q53 (FPP) from the flashcode without using an online decoder? That's what I'm really wanting to find out. The flash codes are all bitwise operations. If memory serves they vary slightly based on the model but can be &quo...

Re: XTS2500 4 Meg Channel Amount?

870, I don't know what f/w and CPS version when it went from 512 to 870, IIRC it was around 10.xx. Keep in mind, a Q53 XTS 2500 will only do 256 channels, last time I checked. You get 16 zones, 16 channels per zone, and a unique conventional personality per channel. I don't believe there is any way...

"Plantation PQE" Label

Greetings, I have a friend that purchased a radio on eBay. It has this sticker on it. I then just saw another radio that was purchased on eBay that has a similar sticker. I have heard a number of rumors that this means the radio is an engineering and was not supposed to be sold. I was just wondering...

Re: XTS5000 encryption module in XTS2500

Ya. The boards for the XTS2500 are part of the keypad. The part numbers are PMLN4924 through PMLN4932 (goes, in order, AES, DES, ADP for each of model 1.5, model 2, model 3). They are very expensive (the DES board for model three lists around $835). You also need a key loader to use the hardware enc...

Re: PR1500 vs XTS2500

There are a ton of Astro 25 radios on Ebay with the "flashcode does not match the label". We all know legit flashes come with an "Ive been flashed" sticker and new flash label, so how many of these do you think are upgraded by non-approved means? Motorola knows by the s/n if a a...

Re: PR1500 vs XTS2500

In my experience they just send you a brand new radio with the same serial #. I can tell you that I sent an HT1250 full DTMF keypad into Mexirola. The model number was for limited keypad, but my friend bought it that way off eBay (and later bricked it when the VM he was running froze during a firmw...

Re: PR1500 vs XTS2500

If some one got in there and did something they should'ent have, then why not simply change the serial # to a 2500 and take the 1500 tags off? If thats possible, like the no tag guys selling radios. A radio still looks better if it has tags. I specifically needed on that had them. As I said, when I ...

Re: PR1500 vs XTS2500

After going back and forth a few times he has agreed to let me return the radio. Thanks everyone for your help. I was pretty sure I knew what was going on here, but didn't want to call someone on something without knowing for sure. In all fairness it did function perfectly fine -- just caught flack ...

PR1500 vs XTS2500

Good Day, I need some quick help. I recently discovered that a radio I purchased on eBay, which was listed as an XTS2500, was actually a PR1500. The model # on the tags on the back is for a PR1500 but the model # in the codeplug is that of an XTS2500 Model III. The serial number on the tags matches;...

Radius CP200 Out of Band

Can anyone describe how to get a Radius CP200 out of band? I'm using commercial series CPS R05.12. The radio split starts at 146mhz and I want to pull it down to 144.7mhz.
Thanks!
