Re: Micor repeater model B84RCB3106AT questions
I don't think it was a community repeater, else why would the F!/PL, F2 control and guard tone modules be in it? Sounds like it was some sort of base station originally and converted to a repeater (RCB vs. RTB). Yes, but it also has the multi PL encode and decode cards. I will agree that is an odd ...

Re: Micor repeater model B84RCB3106AT questions
On a Micor station asserting PTT usually does not activate the PL encoder. Since you have a community repeater style station, this is especially true as the one of four PL decoders needs to respond to select the correct corresponding PL encode reed. If you only need one PL then you'll have strap a s...

I'm interested in your usage scenario too. It sounds like you might be better off using a portable interop gateway and three mobile radios. Cleanest way to go. Or if you want cheaper, go with a RICK or one of the many cables that serve the same purpose. When audio delay is needed I use the RAD board from Arcom. Easy to work with and splice inline.

For CPS programming all the adapter does is add a jumper between pins 1 and 3 that is not there in the mobile cable. You can make something that is a lot less $$$ than what the adapter sells for.

MSR's do get wonky over time with all the mechanical connections. Probably time to do the whole enchilada. Card edges, channel elements, pots, etc. Scrub everything down with contact cleaner and then secure it with deoxit or stabilant 22. May save a mountain top trip or two.

For set ups using a model 18, always used a mid power mobile and never tried with say a portable or a smaller OEM type transceiver.
