Re: Programming 2 CDM1550LS+ UHF as repeaters
Not knowing what type of interface cable you have makes things difficult. This video may help shed some light. I haven’t tried this config but it’s a starting point. The cable you purchased should have come with some directions. May be worth reaching out to the seller for some. https://m.youtube.com...

Re: Programming 2 CDM1550LS+ UHF as repeaters
Hi Stryk1, If you’re not getting any rx into the cdm, then the basic freq n pl programming of the rx radio is off or the subscriber radio transmitting in isn’t programmed correctly. Without posting codeplugs for the cdms and subscriber, there’s a lot of missing information to be able to quickly dril...

Re: Enable RSSI In Codeplug
200 conventional personalities is a LOT. I know the APX Migration tool loves to make a mess out of a APX codeplug. Idk if that’s how you ended up with 200 personalities or not but that’s what came to mind. Quite likely you can shrink down the personalities and cluster them by Analog, mixed mode, P25...

Re: FPP how to use on a apx 7500
You need to enable fpp in radio wide and in the zone. I’d recommend a dedicated conv personality for fpp per transmission type ie analog, mixed mode, P25, so you don’t have todo as much work in real-time when fpping. Also need to add a fpp button in the menu. Should also mention, if you’re not seein...

Re: APX8500 Trunking Menu Items disappear on different zones+
You need to mirror pretty closely the buttons between conventional n Trunking otherwise this happens. Those buttons change on a per channel basis. So if you put scan as the top button choice it’ll show as the furthest left soft button on an O5, but only on channels where scan is setup. If no scan is...

I’ve used a 29,30,31 for programming with good results, but it’ll also depend on what software you’re speaking about which I don’t believe you specified.
I personally prefer more screen real estate for programming but they work well in the field.

Yes MDC is standard. In display, the show id has to be enabled. In the personality, the personality has to be referenced to the ID list. Last, you need the unified call list setup and referencing the various IDs within the call list. Truthfully it’s a PITA to get everything setup properly. I think t...

The radios have been bitten with an advanced system key which needs to be removed before you can do anything with them.
They should contact NOAA and see who exactly used these and what system they were on. Maybe they can get the system admin the radio were on to remove the ASK.
