Does not happen all the time and doesn't happen on all repeaters. Swapped out antenna connector and speaker. Same issues still happen.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Re: Astro 25 Portable 17.00.00
Host 17.00.02
DSP 17.00.02
Has been released. I had no issues on a XTS2500 & XTS5000 with 17.00.00
Tough trying to get 17.00.02 to load correctly. All kind of errors. I can't even get it to read the 2500. The 5000 looks like it updated. When I read the radio it is showing the currect Host/DSP.

Need to update Astro Saber III UHF?
Is there any reason to have an Astro Saber III UHFL that currently has:
Host: 04.00.05
DSP: 06.03.02
Flashcode: FE01F8-880000-5
It is only used in Ham Bands Analog/P25.
How much should I expect to pay?
Best place/person to possible do it?
Thanks

Fits great on the 2500 but on the 5000 the concentric will be tough to turn.

I see a kit on eBay. User has it listed as a HT1000/VHF. Is this model and band specific or is the kit used for all flavors of HT1000/Jt1000?

Also forgot to ask... Using the rule that for serial numbers on current models A=2000, B=2001, C=2002, etc, Why do I see Tags that have "M" for the year? That's 2012..... One last one to pick your brain  I programmed an XTS5000 that had an S/N "H" code for date, 2007, yet wh...

Serial & Model Number Tags
I have a question about having a radio(s) serviced my Motorola. I know a "No Tag" radio is probably SOL getting serviced by Motorola but my question is about legit tagged radios. As an example would a XTS5000 that has all its tags but has been upgraded from a Model 1 to a Model 3 Still be ...

JT1000 TX Audio/Deviation & RSS
Can the TX audio be changed in the RSS like a newer xts2500/5000 which you can change AGC on/off as well as change the TX in +/- 3db increments?

Re: What happened to panter88?
OK, lets take this thread back on track.... Many of us have ordered XTS3K/5K/2500 cases from Panter88 over the years, includiny myself. One thing that after talking to a few other about his cases, many of these cases had bad/blown/defective speakers. Have you guys encountered this? I ordered a few ...

XTS5000: Fail 001 ?
I know what it is/means but my question is has anyone ever had this pop up for one or two hours and then never happen again?
Is this just letting me know that soon I will have the Fail 001 error for good if I do not have it fixed?
Inquiring minds want to know!

A question about "H35 Conventional Systems Operation"
I have a chance to get a pretty decent deal on an XTS5000 Mod.3 UHF-L. As I would use this mostly in the HAM band I see the Flash does not have the H35 Conventional Systems Operation option. So would I be SOL for Repeater/Simplex use?
Thanks,

This issue has popped up with me also. I have no problems using the xts2500 / CPS R12 with my only cable on any laptop with serial port (2 different IBM and 1 HP). As soon as I try on a desktop NFG! Does not matter if IBM, Dell, or HP still get the: Radio Failed to Acknowledge <----comport problems ...

Re: What TX Settings Do You Use? XTS Series?
Thanks for the replies. Well doing some testing on Amateur repeaters and simplex is sounded very low in TX audio with AGC on. The TX Emphasis also makes a big difference. On my old xts3000 it sounded better with it on with the xts2500 it sounds better with it off........ With some help of others who...

I am curious what settings you may be using in the CPS for XTS2500/XTS5000 or even the CPS for XTS3000 as far as settings in: RADIO CONFIGURATION RADIO WIDE "TX Audio Control Per Mode" (Note: interested in internal mic settings! Some setting may appear in CPS ASTRO25 R12.00and not in R05.0...

Yeah sure did. I called 3 of the 5 listed for NJ and they acted as if I had 3 heads! :) I pretty much got the same answer from them that they don't do single radios of Amateur nature. One told me that "the tech wouldn't work on the radio because it is not in the commercial bands". I said y...
