Updated JEDI Software
I heard a rumor that their is JEDI software floating around that is Windows Based. Supposedly a HAM operator made it up...anyone know of this? I along with everyone else would love to get my hands on it.

Astro Spectra Serial number
I recently bought a used Astro Spectra and noticed the Serial Number in the CPS doesn't match the Serial number on the case...which leads me to believe the S/N can somehow be changed...any idea how? This radio was recently sent to Depot (paperwork came with radio) Where is the serial number actually...

It's easier than you think....
Contact Motorola and request the CPS license agreement, fill it out and return it. About 10 days later order the CPS, they will check to see if your license is on file and if it is you get charged for either 1 or 3 years worth of updates. I had absolutly no problem at all getting any Astro stuff inc...

We had the adapter on our Ruggedized Astro Sabers at work and the antenna doesn't seat right because it's the wrong antenna for the mic. I don't like the audio quality with the companding turned on (full compression). In short I set the compression to AGC mode and found that on the fire-ground with alot of back ground noise this works the best. AGC also sounds better when talking with a mask on than having compression mode disabled. ...

Most radios
Most radios have the option of keying up before, after or both. The Jedi series, the Astro radios, the Pro Series all key up that way.

I'm still owed money by Nick Deluca and already have an attorney working on the case. Enough said about that. XTS 3000 XTS 3500 XTS 5000 AND ASTRO SABER
The XTS 3500 and XTS5000 both have better receive than the AS3. Check out the published specs. (and yes, I have tested these). I'd check your front end alignment if it is a UHF radio. Also make sure you are testing in band since the AS3 may have a wider front end than the XTS. George, you're correct...

Hi, it's been a while.
2 questions:
Anyone have experience using a Knox Box system with the Astro Spectra?
How did you hook it up?
Were going to use Analog simplex mode for the Knox Box activation and want to here from anyone else using it.
