Re: APX7000 Programming

Actually, you can scan between bands with the APX7000, it is under the multisystem scan option. You will need to duplicate the channels you want to the multisystem scan profile. I assume you are in NC and using viper by reading your post. Give me an email if you have any more questions. I manage sev...

Re: New TRBO portables??

I was just recently at a product show and saw several pictures of XPR-7550. I heard the UHF Band 1 should be available to order and the VHF version should be late available April early May. They did not have one to play with but have ordered the dealer demo packages. Will let you know if I hear or s...

Re: MT1500 Fire Service

I just ordered 10 xts1500 vhf portables with the enhanced p25 conventional software, there was only like a $40.00 price increase on these from the mt1500's but we did purchase off of state contract. I think we gave around $1100.00 per radio.

I have heard through the rumor mill only that motorola is aware of it and are trying to fix the decode problem. Also the commander speaker mic will not work on the mt1500, have to use just a regular jedi mic.

I like it so much better. they just put out a tk-2160 that utilizes the same insides as the 2150 but is a 16 channel w/scan radio. Just a tad longer than the 2140 but essentially the same size. Much cheaper if you only need 16 channels. PM me and i can get you a great deal on either radio Adam Weste...

I agree go with the tk790/890 series- if you really need mdc-1200 the aftermarket board isn't to expensive and the radios aren't "snap together" like the mcs2000
