Re: Dual-Radio A9 Head -- X9000 primary and Spectra secondary?

I’m using the S/L setup in my other vehicle. I mentioned that at APCO in Denver, and one of the engineers basically looked at a sales manager and started to giggle. At least you can PTT on the channel without having to backout, etc, but still a PITA. Same with nuisance delete. But at least you can h...

The MW810's I have/had, seems like they go stupid once in awhile, where it doesn't see the HDD and goes into the boot device order or tries to boot from the lan/internal dohookie (can't remember what its called). I don't know if this is a hardware or firmware defect. Sometimes a power cycle fixes th...

Wow blast from the past.

The post above is what I think I wrote for the x9000 dual radio page here many moons back when I was playing with dual radio x9000's. Never played with the x9000/spectra setup.

Anyone still had dual radio or 128k firmware chips? I could use a few :)

Most of the parts for the 810 were hit or miss. Things like the heater and HDD flex were depot only parts.

The only way to know is attempt to order one via their support page (business online account) or via a full line Motorola dealer.

A minor update: For the units that use the iQ module, Trimble now offers the Condor C2626 module. This is a drop in replacement and outputs only in NMEA formats and is a DGPS. Essentially, you do not need to work about the power and data issues as the iQ modules. It works out of the box. There are s...

Actually, without looking up the specific HOST, I bet the radio doesn't have the rebanding firmware in it, so its looking for the channels on the old table, and not current post rebanding table. Pretty sure its HOST 7 or greater that supports rebanding.

Your radio (based on that flashcode) supports SmartNet only.

You shouldn't be seeing any smartzone options.

In addition, the radio system you reference is a standard smartnet system.

Sans a hardware or programming issue, it should be good to go.
