I am trying to find out if anyone here has created a "reverse adapter cable" to use the newer radio service cables with the RTX-4005B test box? Is this even possible to do or is there some new "magic" inside the newer box that the older box doesnt have?

How do I tell the difference between the quantar fireball onan power supplies and the replacement ones that don't burn down repeater shacks ? Has anyone ever figured out why the power supplies go BOOM & spit fire?

it can mean that you don't have a com port in the computer. Ive always fixed it when its happened to me by installing a USB serial cable and the problem went away

yah that is what I figured. I know that others here have tundras/tacomas & thought I'd ask. Jottodesk recommends one of their consoles that you can screw to the floor. Kinda nervous about doing that in a company vehicle altho he did let me drill the roof for antennas hmm.

Hi All, I have a Syntor X9000 Lowband (T71) (thanks PJ !!) when connected to the control head i have it comes up with a fail 01/82. My understanding of this error is that the control head is set to 64 modes but the radio is set to 32. Is this correct ? Any help is appreciated Thanks --Don KD7WKF

HT600 Problems

I have about 5 HT600s and one MT1000 that are not correctly outputting DPL.. The local moto shop hooked them up to a scope and they are outputting sine waves (DPL) instead of the regular wave they should show... Will a simple alignment cure the problem ?
