I have a Radius P500 in my collection... H25RFD51A3AN... 6 channels. It's an 800mhz P200 as far as I can tell with a Jedi-style antenna connector.

I will find out when i finish programming, all I have is a T3011DX. FWIW I can keyload my APX's with the T3011DX so I wouldn't think it would be an issue.

Fantom Dynamics has been working on a phone case multiband radio for a long time now, but their newest rendition leaves a lot to be desired IMHO. I can't see anyone actually using it. Also just to rule it out... I don't see any indications of a Sierra Module in the service menu or CPS... That was my first concern.

Your guess is as good as mine.. It only has DES-XL and DES-OFB. Host/DSP is 11 so it's older.

XTS UCM Firmware

What is the latest Astro25 UCM Firmware? I was thinking it was R05.07.xx

But....

I just picked up one of these ex-DC Police XTS5000's on ebay and it has DES-XL/OFB. The UCM Firmware is showing to be R07.11.10 both in test mode and in CPS.

Has anyone tried using an XTL1500 as a VRS connected to a different-band radio? I am using a UHF VRS750 right now with my VHF XTL5000 O5. I would like to run secure P25 for my VRS and a Futurecom DVRS is cost-prohibitive.

Well this is a stab in the dark as I don't know much about the desktracs, but since your FSOFT light is lit up and it is transmitting continuously, could this be a former trunking repeater from a small Startsite system that is in failsoft mode due to the system controller no longer being connected? ...

Have you considered mounting the XTVA on the back of the center console?

FWIW when I cut power to my XTVA via master switch the XTS cuts off too, even though the switch is still "on".

Yep.. I am using channel steering.

I am now leaning more towards an issue with the XPR7550 rather than the VRS750. I programmed the channels into my XTS5000 and it works perfectly with that radio, but it has recently been aligned.

I was able to contact the company for more information, they responded that the product would be released "next year" with a tentative price of $199 for the entry unit, and public safety units starting at $600.

Before I blow something up... Is the VRS750 control cable that works with the Astro Spectra also compatible with mid-power XTL5000's?

Am I correct in assuming that if I have an XTL5000 with a UCM in a 3-day carrier board, and I enable Infinite Key Retention in CPS, it will keep the keys until I manually erase them?

They program with DOS software and they are an absolute pain in the @$$ to work with.

*IF* you can get them programmed, they are decent radios to use. I had several of them years ago, but I no longer have anything to work on them.

I'm in the same boat... mine died yesterday morning for no apparent reason. I popped my XTS5000 into it and it briefly powered up, then dead.

I'm almost wondering if it has something to do with the cold weather?
