They will not interchange all the time. I have 3 different I90 install kits and two are the same and the third is TOTALLY different. I also have a kit for a I58 it is different than my any of my I 90 kits. However I think that in the recent past the kits have been more or less standardized. If the k...

I am no expert, but would 15 watts make THAT much of a difference in a system? As far as the FCC goes do you have a letter authorizing you to transmit on freqs, from the county (or whoever is the license holder)? If so unless they have a provision in the letter for revokation/ notify you that your b...

What I am going to say might piss your IT guys of! They need to buy a book. It is possible to lock ANY windoz system down tight enough so that the only thing a user can do is run 1 (ONE) program. Between restricting user priviledges and using policies it's actually pretty simple to restrict activiti...

IF (big if) I understand correctly then basically the MSF has a duplexer it is just split in to two parts. (I realize that is an oversimplification bear with me) The receive side of the duplexer is actually part of the rf tray correct? The transmit side of the duplexer is the pre and post filtering ...

This might sound stupid BUT: What is the purpose of having multiple channels in a MSF 5000? If your receiver is tuned and with all of the filtering on transmit can you actually put different freqs in the radio? Or is it that they just have to be so close together within X of a center freq? I have re...

How long are you wanting to operate on backup power? Are planning on preserving the integrity of the case? (gonna run with the case open or closed?) I agree with wavetar. I plugged my msf up last night and it didn't take but about 30 minutes or so for the rf deck to get warm to the touch. Now about 15 hours later the deck is still about the same temp. So maybe it is going to get x above ambient no matter what temp or where it is. Within limits o...

watage going into the IPA
Can anybody tell me the wattage driving the IPA?
looking to drive amplfier (non/\/\) without the IPA as the PA only needs 1/2 watt drive for ouptut.
Thoughts?
I know this is taboo here but I am trying to piece something together until I can get the funds to do it correctly.

I plan on using a polyphaser mounted on a ground window. I was thinking about the harmonics that come off of a bolt. circulator
Am I correct in thinking that the Circulator (in the PA assembly) would handle somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 watts?
I could then go to the duplexer and out to the antenna port (removing the relay). If I wanted to keep it all inside the housing?
THanks

My thinking is that I can put a small continous duty pa in between the IPA and the circulator (contained in the pa chassis, cause there is no pa in the chassis) out to a duplexer and then the antenna port.
