Depends on the chip used om the cable. I have windows search for new hardware see what type of chipset it finds then do a Google search for a matching driver.

Dave, Yes you will need a USB driver to make the cable work. I have had a few and the work fine as long as you find a driver. Jon

Jim,
License is for 45 watts output power with a 75 watt ERP.
Look for a 45 watt repeater.
I know for a fact the GM300 has had PA problems,over heating, dead cooling fan for an extended period of time.
The reciever has had issues too, that flashy stuff that comes out of the sky, lightning :o .

The new cone type antennas have the color code around the connector under the skirt of the antenna on the washer that is also the insulator.

Not true, HT1250 rss, really CPS, is made to run on todays fast computers.
You should have no problems with your P4 running XP .

When you go to read the radio go to the file tab and chose "read device" you should get a pop up window "select port" and you should be able to chose your com port.

To put the radio into program mode hold the lamp and lo buttons and turn the radio on. You should get -PC- on the display.

Chuck, Try holding the top right button and the bottom right button in and powering up the radio. If you get a frequency to display you can face program it ( I have the instructions). or you may have to change a jumper in the radio.let me know and we can go from there. Jon

They will do 10 channels conventional. Had quite a few as glorified scanners to listen to the local city systen till it went Astro.
