Re: PSC9600 Questions
Alright, I have the site up and in site trunking. It is radiating the control channel. I can key up get the talk permit tone. But audio doesn't pass. I've got the radios looking for C4FM as that is the only available option on the attached stations. I have looked at the sub band and.. I am thinking ...

Re: PSC9600 Questions
You can run the PSC9600 in single site mode, you're just going to be in "Site Trunking". This equipment is from the ASTRO 6.x time period, and as such requires Quantar stations with later rev SCM's and a special wireline board that contains an ethernet port on it that the PSC9600 interfac...

ZETRON 459 LTR Trunking with Quantar or MTR2000

MCS2000 to RIC
So.. The radio shop and I thought this would work.. RIC = 333B 800Mhz Radio = MCS2000 Repeater = Quantar The MCS2000 is connected through the bottom connector to the Ric. Quantar connected using 25pair am-phenol cable connector on the back. We attempted to use the am/fm muting option on the MCS2000 ...

RIC to Astro Spectra
Hello, I need to take an Astro Spectra that is listening to a Trunking talkgroup and connect it to a two way RIC. I will either connect the other side of the RIC to a UHF Radio or directly to our UHF Quantar repeater. I have the radio shop supposedly looking at completing this task, however our loca...

DC Remote question
So .. I have my 5 channel CEB using DC Remote BIMS.. I have a VHF channel and a UHF Channel (in this thought process).. Both controlled by their respective bims (DC BIM / Termination panels) This seems silly, but would be great if i could do this-- -I want to disconnect the VHF Channel from the CEB ...

So.. Acquired a 5809 controller..
The previous owner gave me the logon info they "thought was correct".. it wasnt..
Any ideas? Is there a way to drop it to default? What is the default?
Thanks

Re: construct a smartnet system
Alright, We are about to acquire either a 6809 or a startsite.. Both are for the most turn-key with few exceptions. (Heliax and antenna) Both suppliers state that they can get the codeplug done with our frequencies once they've been assigned. Is there any words of wisdom some could pass my way? I ha...

Thanks

Adding a card cage to CEB Centracom Elite
So.. I am looking at an old Card cage and i notice that the backboard looks just like the "newer" one.. Am i correct to assume that if i had the ribbon cable for the card cage i could just plug it in and have additional BIM space? Further if this is true then what other cards would i have ...

construct a smartnet system
Hello,
I have seen a few smart net controllers out on ebay. How hard is it to put a site together and to maintain it?
Is it all terminal interface or is it RSS/CPS for the controller to?
Does anyone have any technical / maintenance manuals in pdf?
Thanks
John

Hello, I am attempting to get the radio id of the talking user to display on the channel icon in a centracom elite system. I am fairly positive that if i were using MDC on a conventional channel it would work. Problem is i have an 800mhz Trunking radio.. The ID's display on the radio however i am no...

Re: Motorola Minitor 6
The only reason i would see M coming out with the 6.. Maybe is to shrink it back down to size.. I'm now unfortunately used to bulky radios (XTS4000 and the M5) but maybe one day.. My other option to my M5 is my Icom 3021 VHF Portable. I have a channel setup to act just as a pager and I transmit inhi...
