I will add that if you ever need to replace the glass LCD lens, please put a piece of packaging tape over it. I followed the BSM instructions to a T and still had random shards of Gorilla Glass all over my bench.

I've noticed a significant drop in battery life after switching to an 8000, even with BT/GPS turned off. I'm planning on buying an Impres 2 charger to see if that fixes things. Looks like you've got H37 and H38 in there. That looks like your problem.
H38 includes SmartNet operation, so having both is causing problems.
To echo what others have said, you can have both P25 and Type II in the same radio.

You also may have an XTS2500RB model, which is limited to 800mhz only. If you post the model #, flashcode and host/dsp, we could get a better idea of the issue.
