Re: why you buy a APX8000(xe)?

I've noticed a significant drop in battery life after switching to an 8000, even with BT/GPS turned off. I'm planning on buying an Impres 2 charger to see if that fixes things. All in all, the 8000 is everything I've ever wanted in a radio, aside from the lack of DMR...cough...Motorola. I keep a PMA...

Looks like you've got H37 and H38 in there. That looks like your problem.

H38 includes SmartNet operation, so having both is causing problems.

To echo what others have said, you can have both P25 and Type II in the same radio.

To change the housing, what special tools if any do you need? You'll need a Torx T8 bit to remove the six screws which hold the housing to the chassis. 1. Remove the battery 2. Remove the accessory connector cover 3. Remove the two screws in the middle of the radio which hold the speaker grille in ...

The CP200 has been the radio of choice for Hollywood crews since they stopped buying P110s and P1125s.

The new digital-capable CP200s have the echo issue due to the DSP. Most film guys hate 'em.
