Same here.
I also found that my drawer full of old Nextel chargers and 12V cigarette lighter plug adaptors work perfectly with my DTR radios!

Re: XPR6580 on 902/927?
Hi Gary, First, all 800/900 XPRs, unless ordered with DMR from the factory, come with trunking standard. If you want to flash a trunking XPR 800/900 radio to DMR, you have to buy a DMR entitlement key from Motorola. My dealer charged me $75 for the key, and I was able to enable my 6580 for DMR in my...

Re: Quantar Power Supply Details
Hi Roger
I have a 900 Quantar with the old power supply.
Ive never had a problem with it.
From what I understand, the likelihood of the PS catching fire is very remote. Newer 1047J power supplies are very expensive.

Will a CDM 1250 work without a control head?
Hi all, I'd like to run a pair or CDM1250's to link 2 repeaters. I've been offered several CDM1250 drawers without control heads or control cables. Can I run these without a control head, feeding the audio, COR and PTT signals via the acessory ports? Will the drawers program OK via the accessory por...

Mark, will be in Chicago Nov 9-12th. If I bring a 900MHz handheld, will I be able to get into your machines from my hotel at McCormick Place?

Re: MSF5000 repeaters in 900mhz - any interest?
Well, more hard work, and reading and searching the board here, and guess what...It was the EEPOT's for the Receiver and repeater Squelches! Now receiver breaks squelch at 0.16 uV and can achieve 12dB SINAD at 0.30 uV ! So the tuning was all OK after all. (I'm stuck with the service manual for the C...

Re: MSF5000 repeaters in 900mhz - any interest?
Thanks, Mark. It took several days for my post to get approved and appear here. In the meantime, I was hard at work. What I found was that though the HSO unit had 13V going into it via the moto cable from the interconnect board, the actual 14.4MHz synthesizer tray did NOT have any power going to it ...

Re: MSF5000 repeaters in 900mhz - any interest?
Hi guys, I'm not sure if anyone is watching this thread anymore, but I wonder if some of you 900MHz MSF5000 afficionados can help me? I have a C85GFB5203AT (that I believe was from this NJ haul). I bought it from a ham in southern NJ, had it shipped here to Dallas, TX by tractor-trailer (for $300), ...

Re: Quantar Firmware Questions
Hi all, I have an opportunity to purchase a used 900 MHz Quantar, 100W. Apparently the firmware version is
R016.08.008 . The seller says it is capable of IMBE/P25. Will this firmware version support mixed mode analog/P25?
Thanks!

Re: CPS R02.02.00 Modification for MCS 2000 900MHz
Thanks again, Otaku,
Well, It did "stick". All the changes I made are OK. But the CPS Still wont recognize the new band edges. I must have missed an offset somewhere. Thanks for your help!

Re: CPS R02.02.00 Modification for MCS 2000 900MHz
Thanks, motorola-otaku, I actually searched the ENTIRE exe file with Hex Workshop, going 4 bits at a time. I'm fairly certain that I got ALL the old bandsplit strings and replaced them. I checked and rechecked. I used the "search" function to locate the old strings (using the base converte...

Re: CPS R02.02.00 Modification for MCS 2000 900MHz
I tried this on CPS version R01.10.00 . I found both strings and modified them with Hex Workshop. I saved the file as MCS.exe ... it told me MCS.exe already exists...replace it? and I said yes. I started MCS and the band limits are still the stock limits. Why didn't my mods take effect? Forgive me, ...

Is an R2018D similar to an R2001D?
Dear Sirs, I have an opportunity to buy a Motorola R2018D service monitor online. I cannot find any information online about such a model. The online picture looks identical to an R2001D. The photo of the sticker label on the back of the unit says "Model R2018D..". Is anyone familiar with ...

What's Wrong with this Spectra Siren ?
Hello, all, I've purchased a Spectra UHF 110W radio, complete with A9 head, Systems 9000 PA/Siren HLN1185B, Siren DEK, VIP jumper, Remote Control Cable, and siren to radio cable from Ebay. I got it all installed fine in the trunk of my 2003 CVPI, but the siren-to-radio cable doesn't have a red 12V A...
