Zetron Model 5 Diagonal Tone
I've been looking into an old Zetron Model 5. I can type the usual three digit code and get tones I want to transmit (ie: 120 is A368.5,B330.5). What I am wondering is how to use the Diagonal codes. I have the manual that is showing the sub-commands but I guess I'm just not "getting it". T...

Re: Vehicle Repeater 2 Radios
I wish I saved the email from Pyramid. I ended up getting a a few serial cables and making a Y cable that came off the Pyramid smart cables. Re: Vehicle Repeater 2 Radios
Just an update to this. Pyramid support pointed me in the right direction. I made a Y cable with appropriate items to prevent blowing the radios up and only one transmitting. Both radios audio will come out the VRS simultaneously and when I transmit Radio #1 keys up. It works out great.

You and your dept chief both do understand that ANY SIGNAL appearing on your 700 MHz TAC1 will be transmitted on the HB channel, even if there is an emergency conversation already in progress? 1. Flashcode doesn't determine hardware encryption. Multikey is just that, multiple key options. 2. It does not mean anything as stated above. Power on the radio and hit the home button five times until it goes into service mode. That will show you if theres a UCM, the version, and what keys its cap...

You should be fine. Worst case scenario you'll need to do a CH sync. I've flipped flopped the O5 heads between an APX, and high/mid XTLs.

I'm dumb, I found frequency entry is where the zones are programmed not in the personality section. Now the only question remaining is how to firmware upgrade for P25 enabled. Pay for it. There is no freebee to get upgrades on these radios. Jim I don't think they sell flashcode upgrades for the XTL...
