Re: LTR system question
Sounds like a bootlegger on a LTR system. Like everyone has said, talk to the system admin and have that person update your radio.

I am looking to install some bright red and blue led's behind the engine grille. Thinking about strobes so they really stand out as I need to get through traffic when I need to in a hurry. You probably should have the radio sys admin program this radio. If you program it wrong, it could mess up a radio system. Be safe and just get a scanner..

Well I gave it a shot and when I turned on the radio, the red light blinked twice, then the radio shut off. I tried powering it up again and noting happens, no display and just a quick flash of the top led. I have not tried to read it in case the radio is broken. Any suggestions??

xts2500 programming
I am thinking of programming up an XTS2500 to our local P25 9600 baud 800MHz system for better quality monitoring. I am not sure of the process of programming the radio with the CPS. I was able to find some radio id's using PRO96 Com and just plan on using one of those. I heard that should work with...

Re: HT1550 CPS password lock - unable to read or overwrite
There is a method of using a hex editor to modify the .exe of the CPS to read the radio and when the password box comes up to just hit enter. Then go into the CPS and see the password and get rid of it. I had to do this to a 1250 and not having to overwrite the codeplug since I did not have a clean ...

CDM1550 LS+
I want to program a Moto CDM1550 LS+ to receive an LTR system only and not transmit. My Kenwoods let me not put a TX ID and it won't TX, the CDM does not like that and not putting in transmit freqs. I don't want this to emit any RF if the PTT is pushed. Anyone have any advice?.
Thanks

So far this is working a bit. Sometime the first few words or the entire transmission are missed. I have it programmed exactly as instructed. Any ideas?.. It seems the scan rate is slow causing it to miss it occasionally. I am just listening to one talkgroup right now. Radio is an XTS5000 MIII CPS 1...
