Re: HT1550 CPS password lock - unable to read or overwrite

If you come across the link let me know. I found a link related for the CDM-1550 (mobile version) but no match in the Hex Workshop in the CPS ProRadio.exe file R06.04.00....This is what I tried but still no match:

"CPS R06.04.00

Address 002412AA: Change 741C to EB1C "

HT1550 CPS password lock - unable to read or overwrite

I am trying to program a used HT1550 that I recently purchased. When I try to read the radio in the CPS (R06.04.00), a password prompt appears asking for a password which I do not have and the previous owner is still trying to obtain it. I tried to overwrite the current code plug with my non-enabled...

I am running CPS R06.04.00 and am trying to unlock the CPS password on a used HT1550 (portable version of the cdm) that I recently purchased.

I am looking for the code to edit using Hex Workshop Hex Editor for CPS versions R06.04.00 and R06.12.02 ...

Thank you.

HT750 upgrade to HT1250. Is there any way to transfer codepl

I am looking to upgrade my HT750 VHF (AAH25KDC9AA3AN) to a HT1250 VHF (AAH25KDF9AA5AN). Is there any way to transfer all the settings and frequency data from the HT750 code plug file to the HT1250 code plug in the CPS software? I'd hate to have to program the HT1250 from scratch, just looking to tra...

Re: Laptop speed/RAM requirements for programming MT1000/MT2

Going back to the first 2 posts, will an IBM A20m laptop running windows 2000 work for me....? I would need it to boot up with the option of Win2000 or DOS if it can be done with this model computer so I can upload the RSS files that are currently saved on a CD-R from from a windows xp harddrive.......

HT1250 TURNING ON AND OFF ON ITS OWN.......?

Older model first generation HT1250 (black seal) date code 2000. While the unit is powered on it turns on and off on its own. Tried multiple different model fully charged batteries (Li-ion,Nimh, OEM, aftermarket) and the same results with all of the fully charged batteries. Took it appart and secure...

Laptop speed/RAM requirements for programming MT1000/MT2000

I am looking to reprogram my old Motorola MT2000 and MT1000 radios. 1.) What type is the max speed (processor/RAM) DOS run laptop I should look for to use to program these older (RSS run) radios without the risk to brick them? Any input on an exact model DOS laptop that would work or point out one c...

Re: List of portables that support MDC-600 & Narrow banding.

Moving over to a GE-Star compatible radio would be my second option. Any ideas of a list of Motorola radios that support both narrow band and Ge-Star signaling...............?

Re: List of portables that support MDC-600 & Narrow banding.

Its just for personal preference. I use MDC-1200 all the time and it works the same, just trying to keep the 80's signaling theme alive. I guess its just a radio geek thing :-) For the most part our current MDC-1200 radios display older MDC-600 ID's (some not all) and they seem to be compatible for ...

Re: List of portables that support MDC-600 & Narrow banding.

"That being said, you may be able to scare up a narrow-band analog SABER somewhere (if memory serves me there was such a beast), and that should do MDC 600, but it will be narrow-band only." Scare up as in modify the radio or try to find an exact model analog saber that was acutally produc...

Re: List of portables that support MDC-600 & Narrow banding.

I have MDC-600 set up right now on my MT1000 but with narrow-banding deadline approaching, this radio will soon be extinct. The MDC-600 pre transmit tone sound almost identical to the GE-Star tone. Can be heard at this link : http://www.w2sjw.com/sounds/GE%20STAR.mp3 I am looking for a portable that...

List of portables that support MDC-600 & Narrow banding.....

I'm looking for a Motorola portable radio that supports both older MDC-600 signaling feature (not MDC-1200) as well as supporting narrow band for a conventional 460.xxx freq that is soon due for a narrow band switch over. Any input on the exact model portable that would work greatly appreciated. Tha...
