I have never had QC tones missed while in scan mode. I have all my MT2k's and HT1ks setup this way. Ive personally never had a missed tone out of about 1600 calls per year at my fire department, so as far as reliability goes, not been a problem here...I only scan 9 channels max though. is the auto reset enabled under your quick call II settings? disable that, make sure your signal muting condition is AND and mute unmute is AND/OR under your channel configuration options

I think the prices will go up, not get cheaper and we will also see many radio dealers go out of business in the next few months, your starting to see in fire and ems an education process and they are finding out many of their radios are compliant when their local radio dealer said no its not in hop...

I like the 2001 series monitor; used one at work until I retired but one caution. Be very sure that the CRT is bright and good focus. Many problems with the display and HV power supplies with the ones my employer had. A replacement CRT, if you can find one, was well over $1000 before I left in 2005...

There are some early MTS2000's that cannot use CPS and must use MTSX 6.08 if 6.07 wont get it for ya....6.08 was last of the MTSX updates

Pager will still alert with PTL on, but not give voice, you will have to push the reset button to hear message......

Uncheck PTL, you will have to use silent scan to alert on either f1 or f2 but risk missing a tone, priority scan alerts on f1 only cannot be muted....is the pager SV or non-SV makes a diference on your revert.

Hello, I have no idea how to use a service monitor for alignment, my skills end at programming radios and pagers, lol...I would like to learn how to do full service alignments on ht1000 and mt2000 radios only so what is a basic starter monitor that I would need to get for just those radios.

For the most part cincinnati isnt bad, but usually when I go down its in squad and to UC hospital to drop a patient off, the hospitals are in bad areas and if we dont take in whatever isnt bolted down in the squad into the ER with us it wont be there when we come out

It happened to me(re-direct) a couple hours ago using my android phone, all yesterday evening I couldnt load the forum because virus software was stopping the forum, saying malicious script was running, it was only the forum, the main batlab page with wiring diagram links worked ok.

I have had no issues with CPS r17 on on xtl2500's and pm1500's. I do however use the rs232, not the usb cable...Ive never attempted firmware updates cause Im not paying for flashkeys.....what a crock that is

Yep, I had the same problem. The information disappeared as soon as the radio was logged at the depot. You need to call Motorola or open a case through MOL and they will get then information back for you. Thanks, that's exactly what happened to me too, as soon as it hit Juarez's doors it disappeare...

ack/naked error is hardware failure in your link to the radio....means software doesnt even see the radio, you said cable and rib program fine on other radios, so that narrows it down to this particular radio.....contacts not clean, broken flex.....who knows??? you will just have to dig in and find ...

1 or 2 channel? if 2 channel and using the priority scan, you lose on/off duty switch, can only use silent scan.....which isnt the best method, but is what I have to do at our FD because of part-time and vollies in a combination dept.

Thats what we use now...due to height of the fire aparatus, we have always used 1/4wave antennas for clearance and still manage to hit multiple repeaters....i think county dispatch just needs to deal with it, too bad, LOLWill wrote:So all you need is the 18" antenna......

Our county 911 center asked me if I could cut the power back on them because both the engine and rescue truck we have on the FD is hitting the repeaters on 3-4 towers in the county, the system is a steered voting system and they dont really ...

Motorola references the IOGEAR brand usb-serial converter in the readme file, Ive never used one for astro portables....i do however use the converter on minitor V pagers with no issues.
