Re: XTS Series Battery
I don't know if anyone has ever thought about it but I just had an idea. If you're using a holster or can use some type of vest with a pocket or whatever, maybe you can get some handwarmers and stick one in there behind the battery. That might help things in extreme situations. Thoughts? Interestin...

Re: XTS Series Battery
Thanks for the great information, I guess I will probably start looking at Ni-Cad batteries with large capacities due to the weather. I finally got sick of the low battery tone and programmed it not to go off as it was beeping about 2-3 hours into shifts. My guess is that the voltage dropped due to ...

XTS Series Battery
Folks, Looking for some input on a battery for the XTS3k/XTS5k radios. I currently have an XTS3k but most likely will be acquiring a 5k in the near future. I currently have a high capacity NIMH battery attached to the radio and sometimes run out of power during longer 12+ hour shifts. The radio is i...

Re: What was your first /\/\otorola radio?
Well I guess I will show how young I am, I haven't owned anything that used RSS. My first radio was a CP200, I sold it and moved to the CP200XLS. I still have the XLS but I have just acquired a XTS3K which is my first P25 radio.

Re: Radio Advice - XTS3000 or Astro Saber
Well, I went with an XTS3K MII. Just waiting on the case to come in. This is an upgrade from a CP200XLS and its quite an upgrade for me. I went with a high capacity NIMH battery and the thing is a little heavy but hey. Quick question as this would be a bonus if the radio can do it, does the most cur...

Re: Radio Advice - XTS3000 or Astro Saber
Thanks for the reply and input, its still a hard decision but I am probably going to go with an XTS3K. The ability to program with a ribless cable and the accs. will work with a 5k which I suspect that i will be upgrading to in the future are large advantages.

Radio Advice - XTS3000 or Astro Saber
Hello all I am looking into purchasing two radios, VHF and a UHF. I am looking into using these on the Ham Bands along with a few P25 conventional monitoring frequencies. I am aware that these two radios are very similar. My questions are, is there an advantage of going with an XTS3000? Is there any...

Re: Motorola R750
Thanks very much for the reply, I do recall reading that ISO was available but it needed to be enabled in the RSS. Does anyone have any information on the direct mode as I'm guessing while not mototalk would be phone to phone comms. Thats really interesting that the Linc phones can be identified bas...

Motorola R750
I have been searching through many forums and it seems everyone has a different answer, can the R750 or any version do mototalk? If yes, how can it be programmed to do so?
Thanks
Tom
