As Larry said, depending on what type of repeater is used, you might need to set a "Non-Standard Reverse Burst" in the personality on each of the radios. On the other hand, some repeaters are set up to leave a squelch tail at the end if your input signal doesn't reach a certain threshhold....

You can create up to 16 different scan lists, with up to 16 channels in each. All can be programmable via the menu as was stated, but only after they are initially established in RSS.

I never read about any problems with the UHF version. Take a somewhat distant signal and compare it between your 1250 and a scanner. You'll know immediately if you have a problem or not. I just thought it was a tuning issue until I read the thread that Josh started a little over a year ago.

Keep in mind that working "fine" and "well" are relative terms. It all depends on how you are trying to use them. I wouldn't choose a glass mount over permanent mount if range was a concern. If you've got a 100w repeater at 400 feet 5-10 miles away, I'm sure it would work great! ...

Glass mounts don't work "well", but they'll work better than what you have now if you position it right. Make sure it is mounted directly in the center of the rear window, as high up as possible. Your best range will be directly in front of the truck, and worst will be directly behind it.
