MLC8000 Reliability
We have been experiencing a high failure rate with MLC8000's in an analog voting system used on leased phone lines. Most failures end up being port failures. These lines are protected by Transector surge protectors. Depot turnaround is close to 30 days. Anyone else having a similar experience?

Re: Error code on XTL2500
We already had tried the control head sync. Cables and head are good. Another chassis works fine in that setup.

Error code on XTL2500
Anyone successfully repair an XTL2500 chassis with error code FL 01-90? I have two chassis displaying this code. Replacing either of these with another chassis with same accessories resolves the problem.

Re: To newly registered users: Welcome! Please read...
I am a relatively new registered user. I am looking for a VHF AstroTac receiver I need for a customer of mine. I am not looking to sell something but rather make a post under Wanted. Do I have to wait months to have this happen?
Thanks,
Ed

Re: Anyone run an HP2620 switch on DC?
Unfortunately this switch is required for certification by Motorola. More than likely HP converts the AC to a workable DC voltage inside.

Re: Anyone run an HP2620 switch on DC?
Thanks for the quick reply.
I was hoping to find a more efficient method than an inverter so that we didn't have to add additional batteries at the site.

Anyone run an HP2620 switch on DC?
I have an application to run an HP2620-24 switch at a site. Anyone ever run one off of DC? We have 12-48 VDC available.
UPS is not an option.

Re: PL/DPL Counter
We used three CSI Flex decoders last year to do exactly that for over a month at several sites. It outputs each hit to its serial port and we just ran that into old laptops saving it as a txt file in pretty much any COMM program, then worked over those files in excel to keep just the info we wanted...

Re: PL/DPL Counter
Are you sure it was the Zetron Model 32? That's a paging terminal.RFguy wrote:I've used a Zetron model 32 for this in the past. just connect the discriminator audio input. It tracks the number of hits and total time for each Pl/DPL.

PL/DPL Counter
Can anyone recommend a product to put on a base station that can count the hits on PL's and DPL's? Would like to leave something at a site for a week to make sure a tone isn't used by a co-channel user.

Re: GTR8000 Power Supplies
Anyone else having problems with GTR8000 power supplies? We have had 3 power supply failures on UHF repeater stations within the first year of installation on an FD system. These replaced Quantar stations that went for years without problems. We have also had problems with intermittent tone keying ...
