Oh the Minitor 1,Oldies but goodies! When ever I use to get them I would replace the Batt.box,spk.jack on top,volume control,jack on bottom(ant) and alert/monitor switch on top,and it was good to go! run the "HOT" lead directly to your Batt.Make sure all the Batt.are CLEAN !Also use a good solid ground

If all you want to do is prog.the radio,this is the way to go.I built one for a CP200 for $8.and 20 min.of my time ;All parts are at Radio-shack

Buy a Maxtrac Trunk radio.With digital control head,and a 16 pin board.There're very cheap.And there is no scanner that Rx.like it!
why waste money on a Scanner that will do all bands,weather,and all the other stuff you do not need.

Did you "HEX" all 3 spots,in the RSS?The 140.000mhz.is not hard to reach.

is that all you have programed?ie:scan.QC,.If you load it up with options,and need them all,you might wanna get rid of 1 chann.

If all you want is to change a few freq.,you would be better off letting someone do it for you.$28.99 for a RIB is very cheap.Cable easy to build.RSS to program it ,is more than you payed for the radio ! Then we get into the computer to program it.
To me,I would go to someone to do it.

Use "LABS" on it.

Click on search,type in "CP200".there are tons of answers there, and pictures.Very easy to build.

Keep hitting "ENTER",the radio should beep.Do this a couple of times.Had the same problem with one and this worked for me.

Are you using a "Hex-Edit"?If so change everything back to original.You need to edit the MDF file.

Do you have the 16 pin plug on back w/proper jumpers?In the Change/view go to F9 ,you need to add modes.

Find your model # in the MDF.file(P3YQTOO2)The three numbers before it is what you want.( 22 OC 20).Change the OC to OE.Find model # P3YQTOOG2 ,Change the # (22 OE 20) make the OE read OC.
Not to worry about t5he checksum.
