I don't have one of these but you could knock down emergency on the XTS line by pressing and holding the programned emergency button for 2 or 3 seconds. It may depend on how the long press function is programmed on the 6550 button though.fchrist16 wrote:Bump...Anyone got any ideas on this?

If i use the CX800N-12 Coaxial relay, DPDT, Type-N (6 female), 12v, Tohtsu using 12vdc to trip the relay, wouldn't that be fast enough to do the job ? The relay is rated for 800watts. Maybe because of out of production for a few years and support ending in a few. Probably most if not all of those models in PS or Govt. Service in the US so surplusing now because of "upgrades" like migration to Phase 2. Spectragod's response is spot on too....

My high power XTL 2500 passes TX audio and PTT fine on the GCAI connector on the brick without a control head connected. I don't remember doing anything special in the codeplug but I'll check tomorrow. I believe F/W is around 15, CPS is latest.

Isn't 6.25 khz a valid step now on VHF hi? Freq would be 150.806250 if so, just don't know if that is valid in that part of the band. I'd also think the firmware needs to be fairly recent on the XTL platform to have that option.

If you can post the model number and the TANAPA code on the radio, that will help. What version of TRBO CPS do you have? Can't use a firmware higher than the CPS will support.

Or that... LOL.So I believe this was simply a glitch in the system with the radio ID. Over night, the radio was accepted back onto the system and all groups are functioning again.

The IPA is variable 1-4 watts out to the amp. Should be the same rating in all power level stations but I don't have a manual for the later GLB stations. Repeater Builder has pretty good documentation on MSF and PURC stations if you haven't looked there.

No way for any Spectra to work on CB band (27 Mhz in the U.S). If you just wanted it for display, you could buy any band and then have the control head programmed to display what you wanted and leave the RF frequencies blank to prevent oops TX where you shouldn't.

Make sure repeaters and radios have the same firmware revisions applicable in them. At minimum, the repeaters. Had issue on 900 Cap Plus system where 2 of the 3 machines were 1 rev level apart due to a failure and a depot trip. Updated 2 older ones and all worked well.

I would take a look at Catalina's output and make sure there isn't excessive deviation going on there, causing splatter into your receiver. You ***COULD*** use a VHF/UHF diplexer and a dual band antenna as long as the diplexer and the antenna cover the frequency ranges you are using. You have more flexibility using separate antennas though....

How is the emergency function programmed into the 7500? Make sure it matches what the other subscribers are in the field i.e. Tactical, Revert, ETC. on each trunked personality. If the radio doesn't see it, the MIP sure won't.

Any reason that you haven't called General Dynamics on this?? I have a R2590. Although I haven't had any problems in 6-7 years, last time the unit went to them for calibration they were very helpful with a reference oscillator question.
