Re: MC2000 Programming Cable Pinout
My manual (MC2500 but MC2000 is the same) lists the cable part # as DDN6367. The pinout should be RJ11 to DB9: RJ11 pin 1 to DB9 pin 3 RJ11 pin 2 to DB9 pin 2 RJ11 pin 4 to DB 9 pin 5 The ones that I have built, I just get a DB9 female to RJ11 female adapter body, plug it appropriately internally an...

Re: Motorola GM300 RIB cable pinout
Since the GM / Maxreac / 1225 radios only use Ground and Bus + from programming, it connects the unused Bus - line to a bias voltage in the RIB.
It has been a while since I looked at the RIB circuit in enough detail to worry about the why.

You don't need a resistor. Just a jumper between pins 11 and 4 of the DB25.

Correct. With the Waris series, V1 firmware needs to initially be stepped up to V2. From V2 it can be jumped to any later version. You do not need a Smart RIB to upgrade firmware on the Waris series, just the dongle to ground the bootstrap line. It is nothing more than an adapter that allows you to ...

Re: HT1250 - RXing a PL tone of 110.9Hz causes super loud hu
Actually, the problem was that a channel with MDC and TPL actually used the DPL offset value, frequently resulting in the hum problem. The same thing applies to CSQ- If your baseband offset frequency is within about 20 Hz of the TPL tone, you will tend to get an RX audio hum. Since the default CSQ b...
