I am trying to determine the reverse freq. for a vhf channel is there a formula to figure this or a program or do you just have to listen.

I don't believe it is Encryption because when you monitor the freq. with out a digital card or cabable scanner it is just static. If it was Encryption you would hear like a scrambled transmicion
