SL300 battery question
Hey just picked up the first SL300 and got a question on the battery. It has the BT90 in it but everything says the BT100 is the right battery. Also I only see one battery door listed for these. So my question is if I get the bigger battery will this door work? Had a couple of SL7550's and loved the...

Minitor V and programming mode issue
Got a minitor V that seems to be working as it should. Can switch to all 4 modes and buttons work. Trouble is I can not put it into programming mode. When I put it in C and hold down the reset button it does not go into programming mode. Only comes on and does the self test and says which mode it is...

XTS5000 adding FPP
Looking at updating my portable from the XTS3000 to the 5000 and wanting to know what does it cost to update the flash for FPP? Volunteer for the Civil Air Patrol so it would be nice to be able to add a channel on the fly from time to time but if it cost too much I will just look at getting a model ...

Not seen much posted since these came out so I was wondering how they are working out. I know the limit of 2 watts and no GPS but is anybody having troubles with the radio itself?

It is funny how people react when a system does go into failsoft. Most have been told about it but they still don't get it. One system I was on everybody was yelling at everybody else for being on their private channel. Sure would be nice to do a little training with all the users from time to time

I traded for a radio at a ham fest once and then sold it online. Just a heads up but if anybody is staying at the Econolodge in Troy OH you might want to check your rooms. On my pager tonight is says there is a 2nd alarm fire in that motel so I don't think it's going to be back open in a month. Could be wrong but you better check.

HT1550 and scan list question
I know the book says one scan list is assigned to each of the 16 positions of the zone/channel selector knob. And that the same channel can be in several scan lists. My question is how do I set this up? How do I get to each scan list? And how do I setup one channel in more then one list?
Thanks
Ben

Funny you should talk about privacy and Motorola trunked systems. The local shop here sold the ambulance service on using a local system because of the privacy they would have including private call. They found out all to soon that even the private call could be monitored with a trunking scanner. Th...
