Re: CDM power source thru the FW for 09Chevy T balzer.
I disagree with both prior comments. i ran a remote mount CDM1550 with the chassic under my rear seat wired into the power center there with no problems whatsoever with TX or RX. i also mounted the antenna for a second radio on my fender as well as ran wiring for front warning lights and wigwags wit...

Re: Running strobe cables (Pickup)
i have run strobes in both backup and brake lights on both a ford explorer pickup and an f150. i usually mount the strobe pack under the rear drivers seat and drill a hole in the floor under the seat directly to the undercarriage and seal it with a grommet. i then snake the cables through the unders...

not of the top of my head, but you can buy one on ebay for around $25 ... probably cost you more than that to build your own .... the secret to the ribless cable is the rib that is actualy inside the plug ... actually isn't much of a secret

you need headlight flashers that will work with DRL ... try soundoff ... they work well ... place to mount near passenger headlight and the wiring harness for the DRL is right in the frint below headlighrt also ... relatively easy to wire up ... as long as you have the right flasher

i had a stubby antenna for my MT1000 lowband when i got it ... the stubby worked for crap so i bought a longer one and trimmed it to my frequency (just like a mobile) ... i don't know if it was meant to be that short or somebody got overzealous with the tuning.

i recently bought a 800mhz spectra A5 that was converted to a an Auto Vehicle Locator (AVL) ... it programs fine, but does not transmit from the palm mike ... the radio also has another perculiar anomaly ... when you apply power to the ignition wire on the accesory plug, the radio turns on by itself...
