its probably the illegal tone, if its coming on when you switch to a position... meaning its unprogrammed. When you PTT and get a " baaah " tone it means it can't find the trunked system.

If you mean you have the standard Saber unit and are switching to Astro Saber, then yes... but the Saber display mike will not work with the Astro set-up. If its' a standard mike, yes it will work. Bracket, power, and speaker connections are all the same.

Dual band and duplexer
Either the Diamond, like you mentioned or Larsen .. I use a Diamond 73 in the NMO set with dual MCX1000s. As for the splitter, either Radial Larsen or Diamond, just check your power ratings. Also the Diamonds (73)can fold over, if you need to get in a garage or low clearance area.

Or you just take the Saber 2 case and display front and put them on your 155 radio, and create a new unit, as a model 2 or 3. Since its already tuned for that range, when the radio is about to be programmed , and asks if you want radio values or field tuning, select radio values and you should be set.

Ok, its a ham rig, I had hoped maybe something new sprouted up.
As mentioned above a properly tuned antenna for the 2 meter side, and it will still do fine on rx up in the 160s which that radio does out of the box.
