I use a GP-68 for work and it does it job. I don't do a lot of reprogramming of the channels, but it is fairly easy. Its one of those radios where you do have to take care of it and not toss it all about. I've had it four years or so and it still works as good as the day I got it.

I aquired a GM950 mobile radio through an auction with two other radios for work. It is my understanding this radio is an overseas radio. Can anyone tell me if I will be able to do anything with the radio here, or if I should re-sell it.

All I have to say is Will is 'da man!

He fixed my Spectra, and then made everything right that was wrong with it. I definately recommend his services to anyone who needs them. Low cost, good communication, and quick turn-around time made for a sweet deal.

Anyone have an idea on how involved this repair will be and an estimate of the repair costs (ballpark)? Obiviously worth it to repair I would hope for this radio, but just don't want to drop dead at a service quote if I am forwarned.

It only does not pick up the traffic while on scan. If the mic is on the clip while not scanning it will pick up the traffic just fine.
