2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee siren speaker install
Does anyone have any recommendations on both a compact speaker and where to mount said speaker on a 2014 Grand Cherokee? Space is limited under the hood and I was curious if anyone out there has any experience. Thanks.

Re: What was your first /\/\otorola radio?
HT-90 VHF 2 channels for me. Got them in high school and still have them in the garage. It took me a while to get some other Motorola stuff, went through some Relms and Kings, and then was able to get some SP50s, then my Spectra and MT2000 which I still use today. Solid radios can take a beating and...

Re: New thread for "2011 Jeep Patriot install?"
I can't speak for the Patriot, but I used to drive a Jeep Cherokee at work and the radio was mounted in this same fashion on the side of the console. It was a full size Spectra and we never had a problem with the radio moving, making noise, etc. It was pretty solidly mounted. One of our other units ...

I have a speaker for a Spectra that I would like to know if I can use for a scanner? Can I just put the connector I need on it or is it possible? Thanks.

Radio/Covertacom suggestions
I am looking for some guidance and suggestions. I currently have a MT2000 and Saber both on VHF that I use for work and to monitor local agencies on VHF. I have recently taken over some responsibilities where I have sites on UHF. What I would "like" to do is have two radios (VHF and P25 UH...

MOTOTRBO white mics for mobile?
Does anyone out there know if Motorola offers a white microphone for the XPR series mobiles for the TRBO system? I'm used to having a white microphone - the included black just doesn't seem right. If anyone knows if they have one or if one from another unit would work I would appreciate the info! Th...

Which band to use?
Currently my company operates on some VHF channels (a few repeater and a few not). The problem we have is when we go outside of our repeater range on assignment or on surveillance we cannot get the distance we want to achieve with our HTs. Having mobile radios in the vehicle is not an option as we o...

MT2000 VHF reception
I recently acquired a MT2000 VHF and it doesn't seem to be receiving properly. When I listen to traffic it is often broken and cuts in and out. When I put a scanner in the same spot or next to it, the scanner picks up the traffic clearly. I am wondering if anyone has any troubleshooting suggestions?...

Antenna Specialists makes a decent one. I have purchased from Economy Two-Way online before. Try:

Help for a 2006 Ford Taurus Install
I am getting ready to install a GM950 in a 2006 Ford Taurus. We will be mounting the radio in the center console area with the antenna being run out to the trunk. I need some advice/hints on where would be the best place to connect the power supply for the radio. Whatever would be the easiest and sa...

SP 21 programming question
I am in need of some instructions on the voice-assisted programming on the Spirit SP21 radios. I have checked on the site and didn't see anything, I hope I just didn't miss it somewhere.
A helping hand in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks.

Okay so we needed these radios repogrammed and took them to the local Motorola shop. They said that they cannot do them and they need to go to Bearcom. What is the difference between these and the VL130, you can't tell me the programming is that different that they cannot be done. This is more of ha...

We're using these for office and maintence personnel. There is no way I would carry something like that for PS use. I can't speak to their quality as I haven't used them or got any feedback yet from the users. They are a glorified FRS radio, but I'll solicit some feedback. I know they are using them...

Identification help: Bearcom (Motorola BC120)
We just started using some new radios in one of our departments at work. They are from Bearcom and on them say "Bearcom, by Motorola". The identifier on the front is "BC120". Does anyone know what this would an equivelent to in a regular Motorola radio? It looks like the CP125 an...

GM950?
I aquired a GM950 mobile radio through an auction with two other radios for work. It is my understanding this radio is an overseas radio. Can anyone tell me if I will be able to do anything with the radio here, or if I should re-sell it.
