Thank you for the details. Oddly, testing the unit with the jumper installed, the on/off knob doesn't work - the unit stays on whether the know is turned off or on... Don't know if that's related to the jumper...

Thank you for the info - you are correct there was a jumper there (and the board was marked "cut for Ignition Sense") - BUT interestingly the component (is it a cap?) wasn't cut; I did apply 12VDC to pin#10 along with the main POS/NEG power dongle and she fired right up - perhaps the compo...

Josh: Believe it or not I have had tremendous results amp'ing 160-161 with a rat-schack inline active amp I had laying around here. I can advise the M/N etc. if you or anyone else needs to know. It's a wide banded though, from what I can recall, but when I'm scanning RR's the results are impressive....
