Re: mic problems with ht1250
Had the same issue with my HT1550XLS, brand new out of the box, would hiss crazy when transmitting. Drove me crazy. I paid like $900 for it new and it wasn't working right. So brought it to the shop I bought it from and they sent it out to Motorola. came back a week later with new firmware and one o...

Re: Motorola XTS2500 Model 3 Post Key-UpTone
Sound like DTMF Post PTT ID. This is done in the DTMF config. I'm not too familer with the XTS software but look for DTMF and it should be under that.

HT1250 power problem
Ok I'm stumped, a co-worker of mine dropped his Ht1250 off to me, he had a Nickle-Metal Hydride battery on it HNN9009A and that battery's cells started to die, so he bought a Li-Ion Motorola Battery unknown model# with 7.2v rating. Charged it and put it on the radio. Radio would not power up, then h...

Re: Saber 1E (IE), junk in tx field in RSS, now won't transmit
Make sure the Model number matches up and the band split is correct this will cause this problem. You may have to select use RSS tuning values I believe it is F2 when writting the radio. Not F6.

Re: Permit to Speak Tone
With MTS2K the only pre PTT tone you can get is the MDC1200 Sidetone. Which is a long beep prior to transmitting a data burst. Can be set to various times of delay. It can get annoying after a while.

Re: Echo when transmitting
I have had the same issue, it happens mostly when I have my portable volume too high and I use the mobile or vise versa, or if I'm standing next to someone at the time and their radio is on. This occurs I believe because there is a slight delay when using the repeater, and the ,ic picks up the backg...

Re: mdc-1200
You can either turn the DOS, time to 0 or turn RX signalling to none if you can. the best way is to turn DOS HOLD OFF to 0.0
This will allow the complete Data Burst to heard over the air.

Some radios can be enabled to transmit a sidetone when using singletone, or DTMF PTT ID, but the tones will still be heard over the air. Using a repeater may be able, is set correctly, to clip the data sent over the air but simplex is tough. I don't know of anyway that a sidetone can be generated wi...
