Now here's a question...
Say this XTS2500 used to be a Model 2, and it's now a Model 3.... would it still use a M2 UCM, or a M3 UCM?? I'm not aware of what goes on in that process, but I would assume a M2 UCM??

Re: Boosting output on a CDM1250
The CDM Series mobiles actually have a Pre-Amp installed in them, which makes them generically recieve so well, so an antenna with some decent gain should provide for a nice signal - but as nmfire10 stated, not much more than 3db exists. I've seen some hammy-grade antennas (ie comet, diamond, etc) c...

Does anyone have any recomendations? If you don't need too many channels, the JT1000 sounds about right. It's FPP (Front Panel Programmable), and in VHF, it operates in the entire 136-174MHz split. Well, usually all new radios have really tight knobs when you first get them ( I just re-cased a couple 5k's and they're really tight ). Well, that's about what Josh said - set TX to MURS or Ham equivelant.
The UHF one's I've had in the past had ARS (Auto Repeater Split), so if it was on a PS freq, or within +5 MHz of 449.995, you could set ARS to a - (negative) shift and it would only key on Ham.

If the mic wasn't grounded, there would be no audio, or very little. Try checking that in the RSS. It's a Radius Mobile, so it should be similar.
