Re: XTS/XTL 5000's nor XPR radios unmuting with QC-II Tones
Did you ever solve this issue? I'm encountering the same problem with my XPR radios. I'm trying to set a channel for NOAA Weather Radio and using their 1050 Hz tone in Quik Call II, using A-B, Long B, with both A and B set for 1050 Hz. This has always worked for Maxtrac, GM-300s and MTS models. Usin...

I have several channels set for NOAA Weather Radio. I program them for Quik-Call II, A-B, Long B, with both A and B set for 1050 Hz. This has always worked on Maxtracs, and I dont include them on any scan lists. In the zone programming, RX is set for CSQ and Quik-Call II Signaling System. If I put t...

XPR6550 Startup Time
My XPR6550 is my first Mototrbo radio. It seems to take a long time to startup, maybe 4 seconds or longer. All of the older Motorola HTs I have are pretty much instant on. Is this "bootup" time normal, and because the radio is loading the Mototrbo firmware? Just curious.

Looked up the part number on Motorola Solutions. It's described as a folded Monopole antenna, UHF and GPS enabled.
