X9000 control head reset problem

I am trying to reset 2 HCN1068 and 1 HCN1073 to be used on an X9000. I have tried the method on Mike B's site with the spectra and spectra RSS with no luck. is there another way to reset these control heads?

They probably dont have any TDM type facilities there (DSO, DS1, DS3, etc) its probably all Ethernet based services. You would probably have to provide a conduit from the AT&T cabinet to your own it that type of service would work.

Based on my searches it seems fairly easy to link 2 quantars in the same rack. correct me if i am wrong but you basically you just need to put a shielded patch cable between v.24 cards for the astro side and connect the audio connections on the wireline cards for the analog side. but what i am needi...

Can a MTR2000 do mdc1200 encoding from the repeater? I am not talking about just passing it from a mobile or a portable, can a mdc1200 code be generated from the MTR its self?

you cannot use des-xl in securenet mode on non-astro channels in 12.5kHz. you will have to go astro or wide band non astro.

you can in-band repeat the uhf stuff pretty easy. just find an itinerant freq as far from what you are using in your mobile on. then try to put your antennas on different ground planes. If your mobile antenna is on the roof put the vrs antenna on the fender. you may have to use a mobile uhf filter, ...

Probably not, the firmware in the spare handheld tells the radio its a hand held radio not a vrs. if you swap it out it wont talk to the mobile radio.

are you trying to use a UHF mobile with a VHF portable?

I upgraded an xts5000 from ver 4 to ver16. no problems. you will need factory programming cables, cps, and an i buttton. i would not use anything newer than 16.01.00 till the 17 stuff gets all of the bugs out.

If you will only be using 1 encryption key the first one will work just fine. If you plan on doing any multi key stuff. The second one will work a little better. The astro 25 mode is the easy way for multikey ops in my opinion.

Well i have good news, my mini UHF female has not been raped!

i have pulled the board back out or the radio and the solder connections at the antenna connector dont look so good. i am going to re-solder them.
