I have pulled my 6 Disc changer many times just to work around the area in the console... There is slack that you can work with id say 8 - 12 inches you may have to extend the harness that plugs into the back though to acomplish what you have in mind...

I will get you the OEM spec on the 3M product and I didn't say it was for mounting radios, I said it was for the use of the product in and around autos which last time I checked this was.... I'm working on getting photos togeather of the lights/siren speaker install as well as the antennas. Going to try and get some daytime shots of the Radios as they are setup presently also. Hopefully the next posting of picture will go without incident. - Nate

Well aside from the MIC clip in the center console, and the bracket for the spectra overhead there are no holes drilled on the inside. Everything is attached (even the siren) with 3M Automotive grade double sided tape. Ofcourse I drilled the roof for antennas but we all know theres no other way to g...

I would assume you could it would just involve un-soldering the heads from the board and then soldering in the linear-8 split head you are talking about... I have also wondered this and if you give it a shot let me know how it turns out. - Nate

I just figured it would be much easier to run wires though something along the lines of a conduit rather than through the grommet that seals the opening and when doing so crimps down on anything going through it. So basically its for ease of installation.

Tech... glad you beat me to it, I was gonna say I'm pretty sure they wouldnt offer a product that would backfeed and cause such a problem as mentioned above with the Trans/Brake Control. Or if they did I hope you wouldnt be installing it. I have seen flasher work on Rams with no problems. Goodluck

Go to basically any auto parts store theres a product called "sticker shock" works great on any type of decal... even the emblems that are on vehicles that some people dont like that say the make of car like "Dodge or GMC etc...."

Positive and Negative switching is quite simply just the way that the electrical system is controlled in a vehicle. They are two entirely different systems and its like compairing apples to oranges, and there is no way to change one system to opperate like the other. It is what it is...

Also depending on how many radios you plan on running if you only want one antenna you can get a multi-coupler and run many different radios off of one antenna. Good luck!

I agree with the previous post... In my past expirence I ran a bundle of coax down the C post of my previous truck. This was for multiple TX radios and a couple RX scanners. I never had any problems with interference on the scanners when transmitting on the radios. So you should be good to go! -Nate
