Hello everyone, My vol f/d uses radios(ht 1250's) w/ QCII for paging .......I'd rather have a Minitor. Our fire tones are A/B and our EMS tones are A/B/C/D.both are on the same frequency. Do I need a 2 ch Minitor w/ 4 position switch?.......What I would like to do is be able to turn OFF the EMS tone...

I didnt use another radio's codeplug...I manually put everything the same as each radio.....Now there is a new twist to this ....I found that the radio DOES recieve only after I push the PTT once...........weid huh?

Hello Everyone, I have a MT2000 that does not recieve aswell as my other MT2000........My other MT recieves all channels fine no probs at all......This 1 in question is programmed the exact same way and I cant hear anything unless i get closer to the tower the txing antennas are on...Do recievers go...

3db gain antenna will double your power....but you will lose alot w/ rg213.........get a nice base antenna min of 3db gain ...and some andrew heliax.or even som lmr-400

Then I have a settign wrong somewhere......I had the 2 personalities assigned QC and in the scan list but my reception for other personalities was horrible.Once I took out the QC everything worked great.Weird!!

Ok I hit the button 5 times and it says 2.03.....SO QCII should work......I must have a setting wrong....Should the 2 personalities that are set up for QC be in the scan list?

i built a gmrs repeater and i have a polyphaser surge protector on it, are they a 1 time use?
if lightning hits my antenna do i need to replace the protector or are they like a resetable circuit breaker?

hi everyone,
my dept has a back up 35w repeater we use when the main goes down.........well it went down last night and we use dtmf tones to eneble the back up.......how does that work?
what can i use to do that to my gmrs repeater?.......turn it on and off.

hello everyone, i have a problem hopefully you all can help. i have 2 gp300's set up for mdc-1200 but when i set them up for mdc on the rx side i cant hear that squelch sound when i key up the other it just bleeps..............if i take off the mdc on the rx side it's fine.....why is that? any ideas...

i found it weeeeeeeeeeee.........it was an internal jumper.........go figure ....i was playin around w/ the jumpers (i figured i had nothing to lose) and poof the pl was transmitted.........thanks for all youe idea's guys i do appreciate them

well i tried everything i could...........it just wont tx the pl..........i turned off all signalling ....sequences all i saw in reference to tx.........i tried the logic board connector to........how can i reset the entire radio
