From memory, the "high" side of the relay coil is always supplied with around 14 vdc. The "keying" of the relay is done by grounding the "low" side of the relay coil. That is done by Transmit / Receive circuits on the Station Control Module. There are also circuits on t...

Re: Maxtrac Recieve Problems

Two most common problems are VCO out of lock and broken IF crystal. If the radio was originally on say the 160 mhz range and you program in a ham freq in two meters, then the VCO coil needs to be turned out to near the top of the coil can. More common is bad IF crystal. The only way to verify the ba...

NO. Not exactly the same. As I said on the other discussion board, the older RADIUS and MAXTRAC have a 12 pin and a 13 pin connector. The GM300 line have a 12 pin and a 15 pin connector. So NOT directly interchangeable. The display board has the 12 pin, and those are essentially the same. The 15 pin...

RG-8 and RG-214 *should* both have a velocity factor around the same, .66 so you should be able to tune up and test with RG-8. I have not played with those NANO-VNA's much. Those cable lengths are pretty critical. Pretty sure they should all be 9 inches. The manual for it is on Repeater-Builder. If the "radio" to duplexer cables make a difference, then you have an issue. They should work with random lengths. But the intercavity and last cavity to the Tee are ...

There is no mic gain on a GM or Maxtrac. The R302 POT is the VCO modulation and it affects both mic and PL deviation. The only real way to up the mic "sensitivity" is by going thru the alignment and setting things higher. That said, you *MIGHT* be able to turn up the dev with the VCO mod p...

Jumper the top on to the bottom one.
