Who is the distributor(s) for the remaining low band Minitor V pagers? Is it existing inventory till it dries up or a mfgr agreement for continued production via Unication in Asia? I have been selling lots of Unication G1 in 46mhz but have a few accounts buying used 46mhz pagers also.

I see I am not alone in some of the snafus I have been seeing from my Oct/Dec NB modifications to licenses.Have you been getting customer Johnny Come Lately requests to modify and narrow band emission designators? Been busy here doing some of those too.11K2F3E keys are worn down on my keyboard now :)

Recommend a RS232/USB adaptor for pager programming

Ok my old Minitor V programmer finally called it quits.The new model has RS232 cable and I have purchased and tried 5 different adaptors and they are lousy.
Can anyone recommend a type or brand? Do I need to find a four leaf ♣ to make this work or what?

True, I dont know of any ships that take apart Minitor Vs to work on them.Have run across some aftermarket housings in crazy colors for the V but usually I see them because they have issues.

It getting closer. Has anybody had any panicky calls yet? I sent about 12 Panicky faxes to licensees who had not yet modified their VHF and UHF licenses yet a few counties over from me. Out of 58 IG/PW licenses in that county about a quarter of them had not modified yet.And some of them are 200watt...

Switched from 5 channel Watchdog to the smaller 2 channel Watchdog LT.I like it,had it for 2 weeks now and the reception is really good.Switched to 12.5khz a few days ago and the audio is a bit lower,but similar as on my M5.

as long as you generated a ULS file number you are safe from the 2013 FCC housecleaning/mass cancellations of WB licenses.You can switch to 12.5 before modification gets granted.
Did you just modify emissions to all 11k2F3E then?

Maybe he saw at XTS2500 and thought it was a PM1500? I ran into a rig that needed 3 CH and they had to go with XTS5000 to get 2 CH package.

I've heard the "tweak" some shops do on M3 and M4 are somehow increasing volume to compensate for lower audio on 12.5khz paging on voice and tone systems.

Got a batch back today from Guadimexarico...3 of the 7 stated "liquid damage" and unrepaired.Those 2 now make it 12 with this return notice on them in the last 3 months. Time to contact the Pager Product Group and see what is up with this.Did they redesign the pager to less water resistant...

Motorola had different versions of DTR walkies. DTR550/DTR650 for the Professional Radio Channel Partners, now is in the Radius/Commercial price pages. I have had good luck with the Power Products japanese cell lithium ion 1800mah batteries.I prefer OEM but when you have 20+ rentals you have to look elsewheres when getting new batteries.

Sent 7 pagers last month that had extended warranty for speaker issues/low audio etc.5 of the 7 came back as UNREPAIRED/PHYS DAMAGE. These pagers were less than 2 years old and not a scratch on them!
