i have the boards, the software and radios..
few problems
cant change com port, cant read/write boards...
radio resets but wont program...
any help??

if you open the radio and remove the long board thats covering the t/x and bottom section, theres a socket on it like the logic board has in a mts2k... i pulled it apart to clean out some debris and came upon an option board of some kind...i have the original configuration of the radio and it says n...

cps for the 5k is R08.00.01 tuner ver. 01.05.00...
cps for the 3k is R05.00.02 tuner ver. 01.02.00...
is this correct??

i have 8.00.01, this wont hurt the radios will it, its the only version i have.. but theres 1 problem, i try to install the tuner and it wont do it.. from a fresh install it gives me an error.. also, it says to use the non rib programming cable, why?? are the aftermarket ones on fleabay anygood, id ...

as far as cps, you are looking in the wrong area... take a radio [1] and basically erase it... take out all personalities, scan, mdc, etc. etc... be sure to do it right as you will be there hours if not.. essentially, you must reverse program...ie. delete channel assignment list and other data you w...

vhf mts2000 channel step problem/error message
i have a vhf mts2000. i tried to put some channels in it and it enters in the rss fine, however when it comes time to program, it says that the radio wont accept 2.5 khz step channels.. why?? it lets me enter them.. when read by lab, lab wont let me enter them and rounds it to the next step, nor can...

mfire and radiosouth... If it has a plug for one, then it's prob a true MTS. Hope this helps a little. un true... i have 3 mtx 8000 boards with the socket as do some ht 1000s... we all know ya cant dump a mts into a ht, thus it could be a mts, mtx or mt2000... as for the flash, my mts...432avn0446 n...

its a simple fix... resolder the logic and tx board sockets for the connecting flex.. dont unsolder em, just heat up the individual tabs... check for solder bridges, assemble, done... i was making ht's from my parts box and ran into that... all good now.... also, check the socket for the audio flex....

let me go through my notes, i had a ht1000 and mts2000[uhf] that did the same thing.. for starters, make sure the antenna lug is secure, check the tightness of the coupling flex for the logic and tx boards and then check the tab that connects the antenna and tx board [i cant see the condition of you...

Well, the MTX has it's own specific CPS i used regular cps 6-04 on my mtx950 without any problems... its the same cps that i use on mt 1250.... on the hack note, can you hack the model number??? i can get the cps to accept an edited one but its only changed in the hex and not the radio info.... hou...
