APX7500 scan setup...

Quick question for any APX guru's here. I've recently had several APX7500's added to my fleet and one of them is experiencing an odd scan issue..... it doesn't :D These radios are setup for three zones, each with it's own single system scan list, with the priority channel being the selected channel....

If you're on the West coast, you can try Nextec in Torrance. Give 'em a ring at (310)997-5379. I've never had anything repaired myself by them but I have sold them several broken R2600's that they wanted for repair parts.

I haven't had the pleasure of working on a Patriot, but on the Cherokee's (Which is a crummy interior too) I normally put the remote mount head above the rear view mirror, between the visors. I'll also run a cable to extend the microphone down to a usable area.

Gotcha, the cable we were working with has been installed for about four years and the connectors are probably two years old but new. We couldn't get a connector to sit right to save our life. While finishing up at each site, I inspected the cables and connectors. All of it is marked LDF5-50A, and the connector boxes, still in the trash, are correct. Since I saw not workmanship issues in the cable prep or connector assembly, I have to assume materials defects. Either the center conductor...

I don't recall which actual toughbook docking station I used, but the CF-WEB273 sounds familiar. I mounted up in an explorer with Gamber Johnson parts. It was in an older explorer, 01, but I think the parts are the same. I used a DS-114 for the seat mount, a DS-LOWER-5 for the base, and a DS-CLEVIS ...
