HT1250 no receive

Post by arlojanis »

I have a HT1250 VHF with no receive on PL channel and the following symptoms:
LED blinking red all the time. All channels.
Receive signal level shows several bars all the time all channels.
Fewer bars if remove antenna.
More bars if there is a signal on the channel.
No PL decode.
On CSQ channel, squelch is open. Will receive channel.
Receive audio is a little low.
Transmit is normal.
What could be causing the receive problem?

Sounds like you may have a high level of noise on any memory channel.
Have you checked your home for noise sources ?
Try again away from your home like out in the middle of a parking lot
where there could be no noise source.

Stick it on a service monitor. Sounds more like a receive filter problem.

I like the filter idea. There are 2 different VHF boards. One type has a 45.100 crystal for IF filter. The board I have has a 44.850 IF crystal filter and 4 white filters. I assume 2 for each band width. I programmed 25 and 20 widths on channels and still have same problems.
