STX dead???

Post by KennerFire »

I somehow inadvertantly put the positve lead on first before the negative lead or reversed them alltogether and now my stx will not power up at all , was attemting to turn it on using a different battery for test purposes but it did work prior to this. Is there any way i can fix this or is it TOAST ??

Not a problem , take the radio apart and replace the fuse. It is located at the bottom of the main board on the speaker side, You will have to de-solder it from the other side of the board of course. The fuse looks like any other older moto portable fuse, Green .
