Minitor pager issue

Post by kd5wfy »

Ever since the minitor III all the way up to my minitor V I get a feedback sound from the pager if I have the volume up too loud when it is receiving an RF signal ( no I am not transmitting or is anybody else transmitting next to me so it's not feedback from that). If you turn the pager volume down the feedback noise settles down some or if you squeeze the pager it will do the same. Any body else having or had this same issue? And if so how did you correct the problem.

Thanks
Brian

Numerous M5s with that problem. To depot for "repair" (replacement). Tickets sometimes read, "bad IF filter, unit replaced" or just "defective, unit replaced". You get a new pager back with a depot serial number sticker of the old one you sent it. Hope this helps.
